First visit
No routine tests — Clinical diagnosis.
Only if indicated
CBC, LFT, creatinine, HBsAg, anti-HCV, HIV — Before methotrexate, cyclosporine or biologics.
Chest X-ray and IGRA/Mantoux — Before biologics.
Lipids, blood glucose, BP — Metabolic risk is higher in psoriasis.
X-ray of affected joints, ESR, RA factor — Joint pain (psoriatic arthritis).
Follow-up and monitoring
CBC, LFT, creatinine — Monthly at first, then every 3 months on methotrexate.
